A skeleton farm is the most profitable automated setup you can have on Donut SMP. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to build, optimize, and run a skeleton farm that generates passive income around the clock.
The most important requirement is a Skeleton Spawner. Without a spawner, you are limited to dark room mob grinders which are significantly less efficient. If you do not have one yet, the fastest way to get a Skeleton Spawner is to purchase one on Solanus Marketplace from a verified seller.
Place the spawner in the center of a 9x9 area. Clear all light sources within 16 blocks. Build water channels from the corners of the spawner room that push mobs to a central collection point. At the collection point, drop mobs 22 blocks to bring them to half a heart, then use a single punch kill zone to collect XP.
Stack multiple spawners within range of each other to dramatically increase output. Four spawners in a 2x2 grid with shared water channels can produce 4x the output of a single spawner while taking only slightly more space. The most efficient Donut SMP players often have 10 or more spawners running simultaneously.
A single optimized skeleton farm running 8 hours a day produces roughly: 20,000–40,000 bones, 10,000–20,000 arrows, 200+ XP levels. All of these sell for significant amounts of Donut SMP Money on the auction house, making a skeleton farm one of the best passive income sources on the server.
